I can't keep up

I cannot seem to keep up with my blog. We are super busy and this is what drops to the bottom of the list...actually it's not even on the list. I need to be better. Anyway, this is November according to my phone. (Hence the terrible pictures)

Braeden finally received his class ranking after asking for it for over a year.  He is 18 out of 359. I am one proud mama.

Kate just chillin' with some Cheez-it's and her Kindle

I went running one day in 30 something degree weather and I was still sweaty.

We went to Ikea and ate some ginormous cinnamon rolls.

This kid had 2

I repainted the living room. It went from brown to "brandied pear" or white, like my kids like to call it and I accented with slate blue. I LOVE it. It feels so clean and crisp.

I took the kids to see Mocking Jay. Loved it!

Kate got a new dress for church

We went to Austin for Thanksgiving

Most of the Jones cousins minus 4...I think.

And that was pretty much November in a nutshell. At least the parts I documented. :)

Philmont 2014

14 days,
over 100 miles,
highest point 12,441 feet,
hail, rain, wind, and temperatures varying between 20 and 90 degrees,
lots of memories made

Before they set out on their journey they had the "poop" talk....in a latrine with 15 boys and 2 rangers. Awesome.

They shot black powder rifles

washed clothes the "old fashion way"

drank water from streams and rivers

hung bear bags

This was one of their toilets...ugh. Back to back potty chairs. More awesomeness.

They shot more guns. I am told this is a .30-06 rifle. Whatever that means???

some of the trees smelled like butterscotch

trying to keep the fly's off

this just makes me laugh

going to dig a hole...:)

If they could saw off some off his log in less than 45 seconds they could win a sweet treat...didn't happen.

Philmont Bound

The Boy Scouts in our Ward headed off this morning for 12 days of hiking at Philmont Boy Scout Ranch in New Mexico. They will be hiking around 89 miles or something crazy like that.

Braeden was so pumped that I had to give him a haircut to match his mood.....

Loading up at Lowe's this morning

13 boys and 4 leaders

I can't wait for the after pictures,
