After being gone for a couple of hours one day I came in to the house to find this....

Month of May....and some of June
May was extremely busy with the end of school. We had field days, and water days, assemblies of more than one kind, soccer and baseball tournaments, and a piano recital.

Braeden's jr. high soccer team went to the playoffs and then won the championship. The final two games were super intense that went in to over time and then ended in shoot outs. The Lobos came out on top!!

Joshua's baseball team went 16-0 for the regular season and then lost one game in the final tournament for the championship to come in 2nd. They were so disappointed, but still played hard til the very end.

End of the year awards assemblies......Joshua got A/B honor roll and commended on his Reading and Math TAKS test. Josh with his 4th grade teacher Mrs. Sutphin.
Kate got A honor roll for the whole entire year. We are so proud of her. Kate with her 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Bustos.

in no particular order
These are pictures taken within the last week or so that I had every intention of posting, but life happens and here they are....finally.
Braeden finally learned how to tie a tie. It's not perfect but it's getting there.
Two of Braeden's favorite things...playing the piano and soccer. He has managed somehow to put the two things together.
I DETEST frogs! My darling daughter however LOVES them. This toad was found in our backyard.
Kate actually loves animals of ALL kind. She fell in love with this donkey and a couple of horses at our ward picnic.
Our annual Easter egg hunt at our dear friends, the Flores.
Easter Sunday before church...love this picture of Kate. Such a little lady!
I have decided I can never tell Joshua to say out of the mud. It just won't happen. On Monday after some storms had cleared he wanted to go outside. I specifically told him not to get the tiniest bit of mud on him. I should have known better. He came in covered in mud. The very first words out of his mouth were, "I'm so sorry! It was just to tempting." It's very hard to be mad at that cute little face.

Braeden's in-love...
....with a piano! Braeden has been taking piano lessons for about 2 years now. He absolutely loves it. He has has a tiny little keyboard in his room that he has been practicing on until this last weekend. My Mom and Dad were super nice to bring this piano down for Braeden to have. He has been on it pretty much every chance he gets. I finally had to set some rules down for him. While I love to hear him play and am happy that I don't have to get on to him about practicing it was getting to be a bit much. The rules are: Piano time is every day from 5pm to 6pm and as long as he isn't suppose to be doing something else he has free reign any other time as long as no one is in the living room trying to watch TV or do something important. He was happy with that....and I am too!

In Your Dreams
Braeden got to play on a $49,000 piano the other night. He told me that it would be awesome to have....I told him to keep dreaming! His piano recital was held at a music store that had a recital room in the back. The owner was kind enough to let kids of all ages play on this very expensive piano. Braeden loved every minute of it and he played fabulously. The pieces he played were "A Little Night Music" by Wolgang Amadeus Mozart and "Rhapsody in Blue" by George Gershwin. He loves playing the piano and he loves his piano teacher!
