Christmas with the Jones'

We went to Austin this past weekend and celebrated Christmas a little early. It was a quick trip but we really enjoyed seeing all of our family. The kids had a great time playing with all their cousins. Here are a few pics. of the trip. Enjoy!!

Nana and Grandpa and most of the grandkids.

Cary and all his siblings pitched in to get their parents a new computer. Their reaction was hilarious.

Joshua's Birthday

Joshua's birthday was Saturday, but we started celebrating Friday night with a trip to Chuck E. Cheese. Then first thing Sarturday morning we opened presents. Cary set up a scavenger hunt to find his gift from us. He had lots of fun doing that. Then we were off to Walmart to spend his birthday money and see a special display of Legos. (Joshua's new obsession) Then we topped off his birthday that night with a cake in the shape of a lego. (I made the cake and it was horrid. It resembled a lego but it was really pitiful looking.) Joshua had a great day and can't wait till next year.

What a stud muffin.....

Cary took these pictures of Braeden yesterday as he was getting ready for school. Braeden had no idea that his Dad and I were peeking in on him. He was to focused on getting every little hair in the right place.

Wishes

Kaitlyn found these "wishes" in our backyard. She was so excited. She kept blowing and blowing but the fuzzies just wouldn't come off. She got a little upset and decided that popping off the top worked better then blowing. Will her wish still come true?

Grandma Martin and Kate

We miss you already!!!!

Kate's Ladybug

Kate was playing in the back yard and found a ladybug. She thought it was soooo cute!! She wanted to keep him as a pet, but I told her that the ladybugs family would be sad. She decided to let him go.

Soccer Parties

We had our end of the season soccer parties on Saturday at GattiTown. It was nice because Braeden and Joshua were coached by the same guy, so the parties were at the same time and same place. Braeden was named defensive player of the year and he got an additional plaque because his team was undefeated. I think Joshua was just happy to get another trophy to put up on his shelf. Dad needs to build a new shelf. We have run out of room.

Thanksgiving Feast

Joshua had a Thanksgiving Feast yesterday at school. He was an Indian. They made a vest out of brown paper bags, head bands with feathers on them, and necklaces out of macaroni. They were really cute. They had lots of food, most of it Joshua did not like. They had ham, turkey, mashed potatoes, popcorn, cheese, pumpkin pie, bread, fruit salad, and capri suns.

ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz......

Braeden was given a bunch of Goosebumps books by a girl at school. He loves these books, but he tends to get scared when he reads them. This is what ends up happening on the nights he reads Goosebumps.

Best Friends

When I was in fifth grade I met two very fun girls named Tori and Amy. We became best friends and were rarely without each other. It was always.....Tori , Kelly, and Amy everywhere we went. Tori, posted this on her blog and I had to steal it. I don't remember how old we were, but we loved to dance in talent shows. This one was for church. Amy is the second on the left, Tori is third, and I am the last one on the right. (the tallest with the big poodle hair) Ha!

Primary Program

Yesterday was our Primary Program at church. Both Braeden and Joshua had parts. They were great.

Joshua: These mistakes would make me unclean and not able to live with Heavenly Father.

Braeden: Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ also make promises to me through the prophets. Prophets tell me what Heavenly Father wants me to do. Amos 3:7 says "Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets."

Soccer

Soccer season is officially over. I have no pictures of Braeden because I forgot to take the camera to everyone of his games. He will be playing indoor soon though so hopefully I will get pictures then. Johsua's team was stinky this season but he doesn't seem to care. He will probably take a break this next season and find something else to do. Braeden's team was undefeated. He was very excited about that. I think we have two weeks off and then indoor begins.....hip, hip, hooray!!
